Gaining a better understanding of the causes of harm in our industry was the first objective for the Grow Home Safe project.
Our research took a systems approach, recognising that harm (or wellbeing) is the result of interactions between many factors, from wider industry level influences through to individual actions.
To provide a full picture of the conditions that can lead to harm, our research examined data from ACC and WorkSafe as well as engaging with growers across the sector.
